Privacy Policy

fix-me is an iOS keyboard and Share extension that improves the text you choose to work on — fixing grammar, rephrasing, and translating it. This policy explains exactly what we process, why, and what we never do. We kept it short and specific on purpose.
- We only ever process the specific text you actively send to be fixed or translated — nothing else you type.
- That text is sent over an encrypted connection to our servers and to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the result.
- We do not store the content of your messages after the request is served, and we never sell your data.
What we process
- Text you submit. When you tap “Fix & Translate” (in the keyboard or the Share sheet), the selected or pasted text is sent to our service for processing. This is the only text we receive.
- What we do not receive. fix-me does not read, log, or transmit your normal typing, passwords, or any field you do not explicitly submit. Standard key presses stay on your device.
- Account info. If you sign in, we process your account identifier and email to authenticate you and manage your usage. Authentication is handled by our identity provider.
- Technical data. We process minimal operational data needed to run the service — for example request timing and error logs — with message content redacted.
How your text is used
Submitted text is sent to our backend and forwarded to Anthropic (the Claude API) to generate the corrected or translated result, which is returned to your device. We use the text solely to produce that result for you. We do not use your message content to train models, and per Anthropic’s API terms, API inputs are not used to train their models either.
Retention
- Message content: processed in memory to serve your request and not retained afterwards.
- Operational logs: kept for a short period for security and reliability, with content redacted.
- Account data: kept while your account is active; deleted on request.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to our infrastructure is restricted and least-privilege. We do not sell, rent, or share your content with advertisers.
Full Access permission
iOS requires “Allow Full Access” for a third-party keyboard to send text to a server for processing — this is what lets fix-me return AI results. We use that permission only to send the text you submit and receive the result. We do not use it to collect anything else.
Third-party services
- Anthropic (Claude API) — AI processing of submitted text.
- Cloud hosting — runs our backend that brokers requests.
- Identity provider — sign-in and account management.
Each processes data only to provide its part of the service, under its own terms.
Your rights
You can request access to, or deletion of, your account data at any time by contacting us. Depending on your region (e.g. EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have additional rights over your personal data, which we honor.
Children
fix-me is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
